From 26-30 October 2010, the 21st EuroBLECH exhibition will open its doors in Hannover, Germany. This year, the show will continue to focus on innovative sheet metalworking technologies and products.
“The current period of economic regeneration demands a high level of innovation from the sheetmetal working sector,” observed exhibition director, Nicola Hamann. “After a difficult period it is important to now set the course for the future by sourcing the right equipment and EuroBLECH 2010, with its theme ‘Time for Innovation’ will provide a comprehensive overview of the latest trends, technology and innovation.
“With 1,410 exhibitors from 42 countries and a net exhibition space of 78,000m² this year’s EuroBLECH is bigger than the show in 2006,” she continued. “Although this year’s figures do not match the record exhibition in 2008, the current booking status clearly shows that the sheet metalworking industry is on the up again.”
International participation at this year’s event has risen again slightly, with 46% of exhibitors coming from outside Germany. Following Germany and Italy, Turkey now represents the third biggest group of exhibitors. The numbers from Asia, particularly from China, Taiwan and India, has also increased substantially for this year’s show.
For exhibitors, EuroBLECH represents a wide reaching global platform to showcase new products and technologies. As with previous years, the 2010 event will highlight the latest technology from many of the world’s leading manufacturers.
Amada (hall 12, stands D08, F08, F01, F02), for example will preview its brand new FOL-F 4kW fibre optic laser cutter. This next generation machine claims to be the first fibre laser oscillator with output as high as 4kW. The machine offers linear drives and a high speed cutting head as well as new levels of energy saving features and machine intelligence. The first models are expected to be available for delivery in June 2011.
LVD (hall 12, stand F48) will address a range of metalworking requirements with new laser cutting, punching, bending and automation products designed to balance price and performance and deliver high profitability. For example, Sirius 3015 Plus is an automation-ready flying optics CO2 laser cutting system that combines a dynamic machine with high laser beam quality for consistently accurate laser processing.
Automation will be one of Trumpf’s (hall 11, stand C32) highlights at EuroBLECH with the launch of its PalletMaster Tower – an affordable, process reliable entry into automation. The pallet changer, with an integrated intermediate buffer, was developed by Trumpf in Japan and converts the TruLaser 3030 into a complete automation cell. It can be controlled using the laser’s standard software, saving and processing different material types fully automatically.
The PalletMaster Tower, which can be installed in as little as a week, is designed for sheet formats of up to 3m by 1.5m and sheet thicknesses of 0.8mm to 25mm. It is available for 6, 10, 15 or 20 pallets.
Workholding specialist Roemheld (hall 27, stand B40) will be demonstrating the latest Hilma developments in rapid die change with maximum clamping forces for die clamping and workholding. In addition to special clamping elements for large volume, heavy-component dies and workpieces, for the first time, Roemheld will also exhibit new types of grip rail couplings.
In May, Bystronic (hall 11, stand G46, hall 12, stands B30, B48) launched its ByJet Classic L waterjet cutting system and hence extended its Classic range with five large format models with cutting areas from 2m by 3m up to a maximum of 10m by 3m. Although large in size, the new machines are said to be precise, reliable and productive – Bystronic guarantees a short payback time even with a reduced workload.
Further Bystronic innovations have been developed in the bending segment. Pressbrakes from the Hämmerle 3P and Beyeler Xpert series can now be equipped with an optional barcode scanner to facilitate rapid job changeover. Also new is the Fast Bend+ safety system which is fitted as standard on Hämmerle 3P pressbrakes. From October this year, Fast Bend+ will also be available as an option for the Beyeler Xpert.
Visitors to the Bystronic stand will also be able to see a range of ByVention laser cutting systems recently upgraded with a number of new features.
