Tooling and industrial consumables vending specialist, Tooling Intelligence has signed a collaboration agreement with Lista UK to equip its SupplyPro dispensing systems with Lista enclosures and cabinets as standard.
Through the deal, Tooling Intelligence becomes Lista’s latest OEM equipment partner, enabling the company’s advanced management systems to be equipped with storage units tailored specifically to customers’ requirements. In addition, it will hold service parts and a number of standard cabinet designs in stock to ensure fast equipment availability and back up support.
“Tooling Intelligence and Lista are both recognised as leaders in their respective fields,” says Tooling Intelligence’s managing director, Mike Swaffield. “With a number of blue chip customers in common – including Formula One race teams, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce and Airbus – each company is happy to endorse the quality and performance of its partner’s products.”
Adrian Byrne, Lista UK’s general manager agrees. “Our North American operation has a close relationship with SupplyPro in the US. Forging ties with the organisation’s UK and Ireland channel sales manager is a natural progression for us,” he says. “Since we started supplying units to Tooling Intelligence two years ago, the volume of Lista cabinets incorporated in SupplyPro systems has grown significantly.”
Under the agreement, each company will provide training and mutual sales support through the exchange of leads for their partner’s core products. Lista will also supply Tooling Intelligence with a variety of units demonstrating the range of sizes, colours and configuration options that can be specified for its storage cabinet systems.
“The level of customisation offered by Lista enables us to configure our vending solutions precisely to application requirements,” Mr Swaffield adds. “Yet, while every unit may be different, all our equipment is based on standard components and proven sub-systems. As a result, each SupplyPro system incorporates common operating procedures and is controlled by an intuitive touchscreen interface that is as simple to use as a cashpoint machine.”
At the heart of each installation is the patented SupplyPort web-based data management engine, which not only provides users with real time information, but also allows system administration to be performed from any web-enabled device. The software operates independently from the end user’s own IT infrastructure and is hosted on behalf of the customer at data centres, which are monitored round the clock, seven days a week. The system offers true plug and play operation, with all data back-up and disaster recovery included within Tooling Intelligence’s standard service contract.
Additional peace of mind comes through SupplyPro software’s remote monitoring and diagnostics, which will quickly identify any communications malfunctions, for example, and report them to the system’s support team. Tooling Intelligence extends these capabilities further by offering customers the option of installing a secure remote service package with their system, which virtually eliminates the need for onsite diagnostic service visits. Using this facility, Tooling Intelligence will often be able to identify and rectify a fault before the customer is aware that a problem exists.
The versatility and flexibility of SupplyPro’s offer provides benefits for all types of users. The company’s SmartDrawer dispensers can be configured to accommodate a wide variety of products from different manufacturers, along with items such as inspection equipment, power or hand tools, welding consumables, maintenance spares or safety equipment. The system also allows users to specify the most appropriate security levels for their needs.
