An encouraging sixty new companies have booked stand space for Mach 2010 since the start of the year. The influx of stand bookings has provided a real boost to the exhibition which takes place from 7-11 June this year.
The companies took a further 1,200m² of space at the show which is now almost 90% sold on targets, the MTA reports.
The surge in stand bookings comes as MTA surveys suggest a more positive picture for the industry with increases in order books reported by a number of companies. Alongside the MTA survey wider reports are that the recession is 'officially' over and many commentators are forecasting a UK recovery in the second quarter of 2010.
Graham Shearsmith, MTA exhibition organiser remarked: "As industry confidence picks up we are becoming increasingly confident that Mach 2010 could actually be the best exhibition we've put on so far. Everyone in the industry we speak to seem to have all eyes on June and are focusing their efforts on maximising the myriad of sales opportunities that will present themselves at the show.
"Those who are going to come out of this recession in a good position are those companies that seize the opportunities to market themselves and Mach is undoubtedly one of the best ways to show potential customers that your company means business."
Recent recruits to the event include Sunnen (80m²), Sodi-Tech (102m²) and Fortron (72m²).
