James Needham has been appointed by Faro as regional manager for the company’s laser scanning and laser tracking product lines.

David Homewood, area vice-president of sales commented: “James brings to Faro a wealth of global experience in sales and marketing and I’m delighted to have him back in the UK team. This will give us depth and experience in scanning and large envelope metrology.”

For the past eight years, Mr Needham has worked for Faro in roles across Asia Pacific, USA, and Europe. He joined the company in 2002 working in internal sales for Faro UK and following the acquisition of iQvolution Mr Needham became product manager for the Laser Scanner Division based in Stuttgart, Germany.

He then moved to Singapore as marketing director for the Asia Pacific region, before moving on to Faro’s global headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida, USA, as the vice president of marketing. In 2007, Mr Needham returned to Asia as regional manager for sales in the rapidly expanding Chinese operation, based in Guangzhou.
