Having launched in the same year as the Ford Cortina, JW Froehlich UK, a key supplier of assembly and test systems to Ford and many other manufacturers is celebrating 35 years in business at MACH.

According to the company: ‘This iconic car with its unique styling invokes many memories for those of us who like to look back at a time when there were so many technological advances and new brands tempting us to try something different, and the same can be said of JW Froehlich’.

While its past is rooted in the automotive industry, the company claims that its future will be very different, and will be promoting a much more diversified product range offering a wide selection of automated assembly and test systems.

“We are best known for leak testing metal components and assemblies, but in reality we have a much wider portfolio including the final and in-process assembly of many different products, hot and cold engine testing, as well as the integration of automatic production systems,” explains managing director David Wells. “We are aiming to diversify further outside of the automotive industry in order to grow our business. We believe we can bring a wealth of knowledge to potential customers in the aerospace, off road, alternative energy and medical industries that will help enhance their production processes.”

On display at the show will be a range of leak test equipment, from its MPS100 and 200 pressure decay panels through to its MFL400 mass flow measurement instrument. Complementing these dry air leak test products is the specialised helium leak test mass spectrometer, which works in conjunction with a robotic sniffer.

Also on display will be its valve seat feed checking unit, capable of differentiating between orientation, seat size and material type. The machine can also measure valve seat inner diameters, which allows different seats to pass through the checker at any one time.

In addition, JW Froehlich will also be promoting its associations with third parties in order to convey its capabilities as a system integrator of assembly and test equipment.
