This year’s EuroBlech sheet metalworking technology exhibition will focus on the sustainable future for the industry.
Held in Hannover, Germany from October 23-27 the show is a leading international trade exhibition in the sector and a barometer for the industry. In 2012 the emphasis will be on energy efficient technology, environmentally friendly manufacturing processes and intelligent use of material.
Currently, a total of 1,340 exhibitors from 37 countries have booked their stands at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds that cover more than 84,000m² of exhibition space – an increase of 6% compared to the previous show.
“The highly positive outlook for this year’s EuroBlech reflects a further recovery of the sheet metalworking industry – and it also demonstrates that the industry sector is inspired by overall trends such as sustainability, awareness of resources, energy efficiency and mobility,” commented Nicola Hamann, exhibition director.
She continued: “Major developments in sheet metalworking focus upon lightweight construction, intelligent use of material, processing of hybrid structures as well as new applications of established production processes.
“Visitors to the exhibition can look forward to discovering a large number of machine demonstrations throughout the eight exhibition halls, as live presentation of innovative machinery and systems are traditionally a major focus for participating companies.”
International attendance is also high at this year’s exhibition. Almost 48% of the companies that have already booked their stands come from outside Germany, with Italy, Turkey, China, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Spain being the biggest exhibitor countries after the host nation.
EuroBlech’s profile represents the entire sheet metalworking technology chain: sheetmetal, semi-finished and finished products, handling, separation, forming, flexible sheet metalworking, joining, welding, surface treatments, processing of hybrid structures, tools, quality control, CAD/CAM systems and R&D.
Information for visitors planning their trip to EuroBlech is now available. The recently published visitor brochure includes the key show details, a site map, the exhibition profile as well as useful travel information. The leaflet is available in twelve languages, and can be ordered via the exhibition website.
A monthly online newsletter includes news about the upcoming event, as well as short reports on markets, research, products and trends in sheet metalworking.
