A chain loader for the unmanned production of large tooling up to 320mm diameter and weighing 20kg on Helitronic Diamond and Helitronic Power Diamond tool grinders has been announced by Walter Machines UK.

Handling up to 20 tools of maximum size – or 35 tools of 160mm diameter – the Chain Loader 300 permits the unmanned machining of such heavyweight PCD, CBN, carbide and HSS tooling on the ‘two-in-one’ Diamond and Power Diamond multi-axis grinders that combine erosion and grinding in a single machine. A range of interfaces can be accommodated – including HSK 63 A, B, E and F – and the maximum tool loading height is 650mm.
