Brush away the burrs

Designed specifically for the removal of burrs, Xebec Technology released its simple but innovative Brush Wheel Type at the end of 2016

The radially arranged ceramic fibre brush allows users to remove burrs – even in hard to reach areas – on screw threads, side surfaces, or the inside walls of a cylinder (greater than 50mm diameter) consistently and without deformation.

It features abrasive ceramic fibre material instead of abrasive grain – one single bristle has 1,000 cutting edges, providing excellent cutting ability. For convenience, the brush and shank are sold separately.

Available in the UK through Horley, Surrey-based Drill Service, the tool can be mounted on a host machine – such as a machining or turning centre – to control the spindle speed and depth of cut.
